not correct when display relate task

May 3, 2013 at 10:10 AM
when it display ralate task, as your pic demo: http://www.jakesee.com/codeplex/ganttchart.jpg
. The task: "Brush Teeth", "Shower" is relate task "Wake Up". it always display them : "Brush Teeth", "Shower" behind "Wake Up". ( I see it can't display task "Brush Teeth", "Shower" into duration of Wake up" task as chart http://www.eclipse.org/nebula/widgets/ganttchart/images/gantt_sections.jpg

how to do it?

Hi Sonit,

To make Wake Up a group task containing Brush Teeth and Shower, Wake Up must not already have dependant tasks.

Try unrelate Brush Teeth and Shower from Wake Up first, before grouping them again.

but as http://www.eclipse.org/nebula/widgets/ganttchart/images/gantt_sections.jpg. The "All Phases" have two child task: phase 1 and phase 2
So how to do for display it with your library ( could you give the same code here) ^^.

Sorry for the late reply. You probably do not need an answer now, but for the sake of new visitors,

What you have in the image is a group task with 3 member tasks. However, unlike your image, the Winforms Gantt Chart will not draw the lines joining the group end to the member tasks start.
// Create the ProjectManager and the tasks
_mManager = new ProjectManager();
var all = new Task() { Name = "All Phases" };
var phase1 = new Task() { Name = "Phase 1" };
var phase2 = new Task() { Name = "Phase 2" };
var phase3 = new Task() { Name = "Phase 3" };

// All the tasks to the manager
_mManager.Add(all);
_mManager.Add(phase1);
_mManager.Add(phase2);
_mManager.Add(phase3);

// Group all the phases under the "all" task
_mManager.Group(all, phase1);
_mManager.Group(all, phase2);
_mManager.Group(all, phase3);,
